FAQ

Why armored hoodies?

Traditional motorcycle gear is heavy, hot, restrictive, and bulky. Because of this, many riders choose to not to wear gear.

An armored hoodie or shirt is a casual garment that takes away the discomfort of traditional leather gear, while still providing you the protection you need for everyday riding.

Are armored hoodies safe?

Kevlar hoodies offer motorcycle riders abrasion resistance and the option to add impact-protective armor, making them a safer choice than regular fabric. Renowned for its use in bulletproof armor by military and law enforcement, Kevlar provides durability and strength. These hoodies are lighter and more breathable than traditional leather jackets, though they aren't waterproof and may not provide as comprehensive coverage. For everyday, less intensive riding, a Kevlar hoodie can be a practical and protective apparel choice.

Is CE level 1 or 2 better?

CE Level 2 motorcycle armor provides superior protection compared to CE Level 1, reducing transmitted force to below 20 kN during impacts, making it ideal for high-risk riding environments like racing or challenging trails. While CE Level 1 armor allows up to 35 kN and is more suitable for everyday riding due to its lighter, less bulky design.
